There are so many web hosting service that you can find it over the internet. However, if you want to make online business, do you prefer to host your site at free or paid hosting service provider?

What are the strength and the weaknesses of both? I also want do a small online business in near time but still do not know which one should I choose.

For even a small business, paid hosting is a must.
It can cost only a few dollars a month, which can easily be covered by inserting ad sense somewhere into the site.
As nice as free web hosting sounds, it comes with some downsides of being free, such as rubbish speed, annoying 3rd party ads on your site and having low memory limits.

One downside of free web hosting is that you're not secure at all. You wake up in the morning to see all files are gone.

Plus paid hosting offers top notch support and that's what's required, atleast for me!

Actually, not all web hosts have even good quality support.
Well, for mine that is, and i use a pretty well known one.

Hostgator I assume?

I use iWhic and they're awesome. Doreo is good as well, and they offer hourly backups!

I was considering Hostgator, but i went with bluehost.

I'll check those hosts out.

Bluehost offers some excellent extras such as $50 in adwords and similar.

How is their uptime and support?

Yep, their up time is really good, haven't had any problems since hosting an active and 2 sample sites on it.

Not sure about the support, haven't use it a lot.

Its obvious, if you have paid hosting, everyone(everything) will give you importance. It even affects your impression on Google, thus improving your page rank. So its better to move on to your own hosting account as soon as possible as it will help in the long run.

i strongly beleive that u get what u pay for .. and with free servers u dont have accountability as they r in no way obligated to u and i dont want anything to happen to my traffiic for a few bucks
