Project Brief

Poject Name: MyBusinessPlace

Inital Aim: Create a website which povides a service allowing people to ceate a personal online portfolio free of charge. Users will be given a personal URL for their portfolio they can place on CV's, profiles and other media.

Expanded/Future Aims: Expand the website to povide general business services including:

• Networking (Community)
• Tools, e.g. currency convertor, calculators
• Online file storage
• Promotion services

Basic Task List:

1. Decide on and aquire name/domain
2. Decide on how we are going to make the main editor
3. Create Editor
4. Flow charts and technical descussions for modules
5. Create, Develop, Test modules
6. Design: Site Design, Banners, Promotional Materials etc..
7. Pull the peices together
8. Test and secure
9. Start promotion

I would love to put together an estimated time scale for the porject but we will have to have a meeting/discussion before I can get an idea.

We need to organise a time and method for having a discussion my recommendation would be using skype, www.skype.com and starting a multi-person conversation. When is the best time for people to chat?

I need to know which tasks people would like to start tackling each task so let me know.

At the moment the team list looks like this:

Following our discussion..

Revised Team List:

Project Manager: Kyle
Developers: Giant/Kyle

Daniel would like to do the logo design.
Corey will port designs into template system.

We are lifting a few classes out of Giant's existing CMS including the users class and possibly the pages security class.

Editor

The editor will be TinyMCE using regex for security.
We want some sort of live preview (ajax or other).

User Options:

Users will have the option under security settings to allow or disallow multiple log on to their account.
Users will have the option to toggle right click menus.
Users should have the option to toggle ajax functions such as live preview for accessibility's sake).

Optional

Pages class used to check if the db entries are valid with the existing files.

Current tasks:

Giant: make changes to the users class and DB tables, make: login form, register form, edit profile/settings form and log out button.

Kyle: Create and style editor, research editor security

Well as mentioned before I'm quite happy to write a ton of code to strip out any xss attempts from the editor and try and guarantee it is valid markup. I've got a big list of things I need to check for it's just a case of actually making the code for them now.

Tomorrow at 17:00 should be fine. I'm pretty much bed ridden atm anyway so no worries. leons87 at hotmail dot com is my msn just so we all know.

Ok I have a problem, have to take my girlfriend to the hospital at 1530 so I might not be back by 1700. We can either make it later or earlier tomorrow, say around 1400.

EDIT: ok I think it's best to skip this meeting as it's not really needed we know what we're doing current tasks have been set. I just need to get in touch with BoneIdol and see when we can do some work on the editor.

I will post any advancements as they occur.
