I think Drupal/ Joomla.

Never tried anything else than Wordpress. But have heard good about Drupal/ Joomla.

Joomla has a easy administrative feature, but not SEO friendly (out of the box). Drupal is nice for SEO but very cluttered back end control.
Its a tie between these two for the top spot.

I've worked with like every CMS there is (seriously) and I gotta say, I like wordpress. There are plenty of things about the interface that irritate me, but it's easy for anybody to take advantage of some advanced features with just a couple of tutorials.

As far as joomla goes, the learning curve is steep, but it's fairly powerful. The same can be said of Drupal, but Drupal's back-end interface has some weird tagnames.

I think that Joomla and Drupal, and Mambo are extremely hard to edit. I recommend WordPress.

It will be hard to find a good pre-built laptop good for music editing. With music editing you will need a good sound card because on-board sound just doesn't cut it. If you want a good sound card get a "Creative Audigy 2" Creative sell this product in many forms, 1. a add on card for a desktop PC, 2. A PCMCIA card and 3. A external unit connected via usb. This card offers great features and supports 7.1 channel sound.
